THE SUDETENPOST

The SUDETENPOST, official organ of the Sudetendeutschen Landsmannschaft in Austria, is being printed twice a month in Linz, Austria. You can read all pertinent information about past and present events in the history of the Sudetenland, with particular emphasis on the latest news regarding negotiations between Prag, Berlin, Vienna, and the EU in this paper. It makes its readers aware of the latest political decisions dealing with our homeland and describes the fate of the Sudeten-Germans vis-a-vis the Czech Republic in the twentieth century.

We recommend the SUDETENPOST highly to those who want to find out the real truth about the brutal treatment of the Sudeten-Germans by the Czechs from 1918-1938 as well as the expulsion and killing after 1945. You read the plain truth without regard to any politically-correct revisions and propaganda from Prag or other countries. Although the deplorable human rights violations by the Czechs after 1945 constituted crimes against humanity, the articles in the SUDETENPOST are less painful to read for Sudeten-Germans because we know that its reports represent the ugly truth, without any attempt to deny or exaggerate historic facts. The latest developments regarding the Benes-decree and the admittance of the Czech Republic to the EU are some of its top stories.

Each issue of the SUDETENPOST contains on page 1 a picture of a village or town of the Sudetenland which its former inhabitants were forced to vacate (and which were often abandoned and left to deteriorate subsequently), entitled "Das Bild der Heimat"; the paper also contains political essays by Manfred Maurer; announcements of forthcoming events planned by Sudeten Germans in every state in Austria; facts and dates relative to the Sudetenland; book reviews;  and - last but not least - an entire page of Letters to the Editor, "Tribuene der Meinungen".
